can a ball joint rubber be replaced with out taking the ball joint out of the arm? ....and if so how??

i think that you might need to change the ball joint as the rubber is crimped onto it

you can buy rubbers from cool air or status i think. the clamp that holds it is juts a wrapped steel spring that you ping off. you do have to take it out of the arm . best way to do that is with one of these..... www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/cht222-ball-joint-remover/path/automotive-hand-toolsthese work aswell if you need to take the ball joint out and the rubber is good because you dont have to hammer the fork in like you do with the other types. well worth the money!
